Best of the Bay Area

This award will recognize the top design having opportunities for real world application and replication in the Bay Area of California. Lifecycle Building Challenge 2 entrants from the following counties will automatically be entered in this satellite competition: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. All project types will be considered. The focus will be on design for adaptability and deconstruction to promote resource conservation and local building materials reuse, development of innovative yet practical concepts, and green materials choices. The submission must include an explanation of how the design can be replicated for a similar project.
